Flowers of Life
This painting, as all my pieces do, starts from an abstract underpainting of horizontal and vertical patterns. In this piece I’ve taken a painting which I wasn’t happy with leaving the flowers in the top left and bottom right. I then began the process of filling in the rest while leaving some semblance of the prior painting and creating an abstract imagery with the use of yellows, thick impasto and linear lines. The flowers like humans create a passion through their interactions with each other.
