Life of Chai
Before my studio move from Canton to Plymouth, MA in the late fall of 2020 I created this second piece in my series. The word Chai in the Jewish religion refers to life. When someone has a life event from a celebration or even a death it is a custom to make a donation of $18, which is a Chai Donation. Some will often use multiples of that amount. Chai in this piece is represented by the dancing figure in the sky. He is LIFE! All that is around him is wonderous. Yet lurking in the happiness is always things that can make life difficult.
